If you have followed by blogs or my story, you know I'm a huge fan of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. I've tried them all, see my Trusted Providers Page to see the seven online providers I've tried.

HRT comes in different formulations and if you are new or somewhat reluctent to try HRT, starting with a topical cream might be a good option for you to consider. Many of the topical creams, the ones you rub on your inner arms or thighs are considered a bi-est, meaning they contain two forms of estrogen. Estradiol and Estriol. Estriol is a weaker form of estrogen and so many feel its more gentle and a good place to start if you are new.

Bioidentical (Biest) Hormone Replacement Therapy online

Winona and Musely are both telehealth Hormone Replacement providers who have started flooding my social media feeds. Like most companies that offer HRT as telemedicine, they have some similarities and many differences.

Mainly, Musely is much more a skincare company who happens to also offer an estrogen/progesterone body cream that they advertise is good for menopause symptoms. They are first and foremost a skincare company, but their pricing for their HRT is most affordable out there at $46/month.

Does Winona or Musely Accept Insurance?

Musely doesn't accept insurance and charges $20 per consult. You will place the cream in your cart, finish your purchase and then wait for instructions from your assigned doctor. A consult may or may not be needed, in many cases, it isn't.

Although WINONA also doesn't accept insurance they also don't charge a consult fee, don't require a 1:1 telehealth consult and don't ask for lab/blood work.

Both Winona and Musely accept HSA Credit Cards.

Which HRT products and formulations do Musely and Winona offer?

Winona HRT Products Offered:

Musely HRT Products offered:

Their one product is most comparable to Winona's Estrogen Body Cream or combo Estrogen/Progesterone Cream. Both the Winona and Musely topical cream is a Biest, which means it contains both Estradiol and Estriol. Estriol is thought to be more gentle and therefore some would say its a safer version of HRT than Estradiol alone.

Is Musely legit
Musely offers lots of RX skincare options. I'm currently trying out The Eye Serum. Use code HTH20 for 20% off your first order of Musely!

Musely and Winona Hormone Replacement Therapy

Winona doesn't ask for an initial fee to get started or any on-going fees. Also, they don't require an in-person telehealth visit or bloodwork. All communication is done via their free patient portal or via email, no appointment needed. From their list of available products, most menopausal women will need an estrogen product, a progesterone product or a combo medication that offers both. Winona's Estrogen/Progesterone Cream combo is $89/month based on their pricing list. If you no longer have a uterus, you likely won't need a progesterone product.

Is Winona or Musely a better fit for you?

The HRT topical creams offered by Winona and Musely are pretty much the same exact product. They are a combo of Estradiol and Estriol. Winona is $89 per month and Musely is $46. Use Code HTH20 for 20% off MUSLEY.

Personally, I have tried WINONA and was pleased with the service, the products and their follow up. I appreciate their transparency on their pricing for products and the fact that beyond purchasing 3-months' worth of product per order, there was no other commitment.

Welcome

I am an HRT patient reviewer of online platforms. I've become a patient & paid out of pocket (sometimes with & sometimes without insurance) for every HRT product I've tried and review. These reviews are my honest experience as I continue to navigate menopause, just like you!
