effecty offers HRT, Weight loss and longevity solutions.

If you have followed any of my story, you know I originally started HRT back in 2019 using a troche, which is a pill that dissolves under your tongue. It worked okay, but I had heard some noise about hormones in pill-form formulation and their effect on the liver so I wanted to try a topical cream. Next, I tried a estradiol/progesterone topical cream and although it kept my night sweats and hot flashes at bay, I still didn't feel great as I had hoped I could.

It was when I switched to the estradiol patch + progesterone tablets that I felt the best I had so far, since entering perimenopause and menopause.

Estradiol Patches in various doses and Progesterone Tablets in 100 mg and 200 mg are FDA approved and are proven to not only help with perimenopause and menopause symptoms, but HRT has been shown to help our hearts, our bones and our brains.

How does Effecty work?

Effecty offers telehealth for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) in a three-step process.

  1. Fill out Medical Questionnaire

  2. Engage in a chat-based visit with a licensed physician

  3. Receive medication directly to your front door

Effecty does not accept insurance, but patients can submit payment receipts to their insurance carrier if they wish to pursue reimbursement.

Effecty, Have it Your Way

Now I'm not saying Effecty is exactly like Burger King, but it's close. They offer FREE telehealth video visits if you want them or you can skip it.

They also allow you to "select" the formulation you want to try. They are not going to steer you toward the most or least expensive just because they "think" that's what you want. You actually get to choose the formulation and even the dose you want to try.

Hormone Replacement Formulations offered by Effecty

  • Estradiol Patch - $125/month

  • Estradiol Gel - $125/month

  • Estradiol Tablet - $60/month

  • Progesterone Tablets - $19.95/month

Estradiol patches, gels and tablets along with micronized Progesterone tablets have been around since the 1990's. All of these HRT formulations are proven to be effective for perimenopause and menopause symptoms. They are safe and approved by the FDA.

Effecty - Hormone Therapy Personalized to you

  • No Membership cost or hidden fees

  • On-going care, unlimited provider messaging

  • Convenient delivery, right to your doorstep

Many of the other online HRT providers charge a fee to create an account, or they force you into a membership, but not Effecty.

I became a patient a few weeks back and I can share with you first hand, they are not kidding when they say no hidden fees.

Estradiol Patches are switched out about every four days.

Effecty Hormone Replacement Therapy Cost

So here's the deal when you purchase from a provider who doesn't charge you to visit or have a 1:1 consult with a doctor. They still have to employ docs to write the prescriptions, there is no way around that, so in lieu of nickel and diming you to death, Effecty makes their price known, which means you can clearly compare them to many of the other online telehealth HRT providers.

For example, Winona, which is very popular online HRT provider, charges $149 for their Estradiol patch and $39 for their progesterone tablets for a total of $188. The same two products from Effecty are a cost of $145 total for both. Effecty is $43 less than Winona. Effecty is a simple, transparent way to get HRT without having to leave the comfort of your home.

You can use your HSA card for Effecty prescriptions.

Does Effecty offer medical Weight Loss Options?

When I became a patient of Effecty a few weeks back, I was running low on my compound semaglutide. I've been micro-dosing for a while and for whatever reason it's really started making more nauseous that it used to.

I was super excited to learn that Effecty also offers name brand weight loss meds like Wegovy or Zepbound, but they also offer the compound version, if you are like me and your insurance doesn't cover weight loss meds. They offer different packages of these medications. The larger the quantity you purchase, the less you pay per dose/month. You can get started for as little as $185 per month.

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 weight loss medication and it's known to cause some stomach and digestion issues for some patients. The name brand versions are Wegovy and Ozempic.

Tirzepatide is a GLP-1 + GIP-1 and is known for less side effects. The name brand versions are Zepbound and Monjouro.

After being on Tirzepatide for a week, I can state that I've had zero stomach issues and I've not felt sick even one time. If you are prone to stomach issues or know that you get nauseous easier than the average person, you might want to consider Tirzepatide over Semaglutide. I'll do a full blog on it once I've been on it for 4-6 weeks.

Effecty Hormone Replacement Therapy Review

The best thing about this company is the flexibility. You can choose to have a one on one consultation (for FREE) or not and you get a say in which formulation you try. Gone are the days where the doctor makes all the decisions and doesn't allow you to weigh in on your care.

I am also super impressed with their pricing. As you compare Effecty's prescription medication costs to other online providers like Winona or Joi Women's Wellness, you will soon discover that Effecty is one of the most cost effective options out there. And . . being able to get medical Weight Loss medications in the same place doesn't hurt either.

Welcome

I am an HRT patient reviewer of online platforms. I've become a patient & paid out of pocket (sometimes with & sometimes without insurance) for every HRT product I've tried and review. These reviews are my honest experience as I continue to navigate menopause, just like you!
